Senior Cricket
Harrogate Cricket Club has a thriving senior section, with four senior teams providing playing opportunities from Yorkshire Premier League standard to amateur village cricket in the Nidderdale League.
In addition, we have two Evening League sides which play in a local league on a Wednesday evening.

First XI

Our 1st XI play in the highest division of the ECB Yorkshire Premier League North - Premier Division. In recent seasons the 1st XI have secured sustained improvements. David Stiff will be leading the side in 2026 and we look forward welcoming our new overseas professional Kaumal Nanayakkara.

Second XI

Captain: Jordan Sleightholme
Following another successful season in 2025, the 2nd XI retained their place in the newly formed ECB Premier Division 2, reflecting the high standard of cricket and competition they play. The side provides an excellent pathway to the 1st XI and is full of talented youngsters who have progressed through the club. Jordan Sleightholme will once again lead their side in 2025.

Third XI

Captain: Matt Ingham
Having won Division 2 in 2025 our 3rd XI, known as the Harrogate Strays, will play in Nidderdale Division 1 in 2026. The Strays are viewed as our '1st XI' in the Nidderdale League and are a mixture of experienced league cricketers and talented youngsters who are on the pathway to our 1st and 2nd team. This team is captained by Matt Ingham.

Fourth XI

Our 4th XI play in Division Four of the Nidderdale League. The aim of the side is to provide a pathway into adult cricket for our talented juniors, and the team is ably supported by several older cricketers. This team is led by the experienced Mark Sowray.
