Senior cricket update

The start of the season is getting nearer, so with that in mind we'd like to update members with some senior cricket updates...

Winter nets: Start on 7th Feb at St Aidan's, 7.30pm til 9.00pm. A great opportunity to practice, but most importantly build some team and club spirit ahead of the new season. The session is for 4s through to 1s. Want to push for a place higher up the club this season? Come along!

Signings: We've made steady progress with a number of quality signings for the 1s, and we've spoken to others who have committed to playing for the 2s next season. We're also confident of strengthening the 3s with an overseas player. However, if members could also play their part in trying to bring players into the club, and along to winter nets, it would help strengthen the club immeasurably.

4th team: Olly Bassett will captain the 4s this season. He will provide a great link between the 4s and the 3s and will help to nurture the youngsters coming through into adult cricket

Evening league: Scott Roberts and George Owram will co-captain this team. Running the evening team is somewhat of a thankless task, and as we ask every year, if every playing member makes themselves available for 2 games, (in amongst the die hards!) then it would make things a lot easier. We will be competing in Harrogate Evening League Division 1 this year.

Indoor league: Harrogate CC won the indoor league just before Christmas. Congratulations to those involved.

Volunteers: We're always looking for people to get involved in helping the club run as smoothly and successfully as possible. A club of our size simply cannot rely on the same faces year in, year out to do all the leg work. From organising socials, to designing leaflets, painting fences and scoring matches, please get in touch if you want to help out.

Thanks

Your captains.
